Care Beyond the Treatment Room

Not everything I do requires needles, equipment or being in the same room.

Some of the most important work happens through conversation, attention, nervous-system awareness and a clear understanding of the patterns shaping what you are experiencing.

Virtual work allows us to focus on the parts of your health, nervous system and life that do not require hands-on treatment.

Telehealth can be useful when you want focused support without traveling to the office, when you are working through a longer process, or when an in-person treatment simply is not necessary for what we are addressing.

Virtual Work

What can we work on virtually?

Nervous System Regulation

Understanding patterns of activation, shutdown, hypervigilance, avoidance and other autonomic responses, with practical work directed toward greater regulation.

Trauma & Attachment

Trauma-informed work around established relational, emotional and behavioral patterns that continue to influence the present.

Brainspotting

Focused sessions designed to work with deeper emotional and somatic material through attention, gaze position and nervous-system processing.

NLP-Informed Coaching

Work with language, perception, identity, assumptions, self-concept and patterns of thought that influence behavior and experience.

Mindfulness Coaching

Practical work with attention, awareness, emotional regulation and the ability to respond differently to what is happening internally and externally.

Treatment Consultation

Talk through symptoms, goals, previous treatment, questions and options before deciding whether an in-person visit makes sense.

The Appointment

A focused hour without the commute.

Virtual appointments are intentionally straightforward. You need a private place, a stable connection and enough uninterrupted time to be fully present.

01

Connect

Join your virtual appointment from a private, comfortable location.

02

Focus

We identify what is actually happening and what we are working toward.

03

Work

The session is structured around the modality and goals that fit the work we are doing together.

Virtual + In Person

Some care belongs online. Some belongs in the treatment room.

Acupuncture, electroacupuncture, microneedling, fractional RF, mesotherapy, cupping and other hands-on treatments obviously require an in-person appointment.

Coaching, nervous-system work, consultation and many trauma-focused sessions do not.

We can use both.

For clients who also see me in person, virtual appointments can provide continuity between physical treatments.

The format should follow the work — not the other way around.

Telehealth FAQ

Before your virtual appointment.

Do I need to be an existing patient?

No. Virtual consultation can also be a useful first step when you are trying to determine what kind of work would be most appropriate.

Can acupuncture be done through telehealth?

Needling itself requires an in-person appointment. Telehealth can be used for consultation, discussion, education, follow-up and other services that do not require hands-on treatment.

Can Brainspotting be done virtually?

Virtual sessions can be used for Brainspotting when the format is appropriate for the person and the work being done.

Can I combine virtual and in-person appointments?

Yes. For many clients, the combination makes sense: hands-on care when hands-on care is needed and virtual sessions when the work can be done remotely.

Can I book from outside California?

Availability can depend on the type of service and where you are located at the time of the appointment. Contact me before booking if you are outside California so we can determine which virtual services are appropriate.

Dr. Anna Bäck

Meet me wherever you are.

If the work does not require a treatment table, we may not need to be in the same room.
